Chinese Carver Spent 4 Years For This Wooden Masterpiece

When you hear the word “masterpiece,” you most likely think of some famous painting painted in the 15th or 16th century like the Mona Lisa. So it’s always nice to know that artistic masterpieces are being created even today.

A Chinese artist "Zheng Chunhui" a famous wood carver, has won a place in the Guinness Book of Records after creating the world's longest wooden carving. Zheng spent four years working tirelessly, creating the jaw dropping master piece of artwork on a single tree trunk which is 40ft long.

The scene is actually a copy of the famous Chinese painting 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival' which was created over 1,000 years ago.

It has won the Guinness World Record for the longest wooden carving and measures over 40ft

It’s no surprise that this incredible work of art is drawing so much attention. It’s amazing, but not just because it’s so big, but also because it’s so incredibly detailed.

That was 8,760 hours well spent. To show the day to day life of ancient Chinese people. The artwork features buildings, boats, bridges and 550 individually carved people who are shown herding animals, carrying cargo shopping in markets and going about their daily business in a snapshot of ancient Chinese life.

Care to share this awesome work with others.
