What You Should Know Before Taking Supplements
These days there is plenty of controversy and debate over whether it is beneficial to take various supplements. There are many kinds of supplements out there all with different intentions. There are food or meal supplements, weight loss supplements, strength enhancing supplements, and performance enhancing supplements, just to name a few.

| Vitamins & Supplement |
While I do believe that certain supplements can provide some benefits for
weight loss and increased fitness, taking the wrong ones or taking too high a
dose can create some unwanted serious side effects. If you are either currently
taking any supplements or are considering taking any then follow these tips to
ensure they will not do you more harm than good.
For starters, get a physical checkup from your doctor. Talk to the doctor about what supplements you are taking or are looking to take and explain what you want to take them for whether it is for weight loss or to increase your strength for fitness. Your doctor can make sure that you have no conditions that would be adversely affected by them and may also have other recommendations as well.
Do your homework and learn as much as you can about the supplements you want to take. Many weight loss supplements for instance are only a meal replacement with a very high cost. You can start by using the internet to do searches on them. Here you can get plenty of information on them. You can also ask the local pharmacist, a qualified fitness trainer, or a qualified nutritionist about them for an even more in depth look at them.<

Stay away from supplements that do not list all the ingredients or are a
new, unusual, or unknown type. Stick with supplements that have a good brand
name, use pharmaceutical grade ingredients, and make no lofty claims as to what
their supplements will do for you like rapid weight loss for example.
When you do find a suitable supplement to take, never exceed the recommended dosage for any reason. No matter how good a supplement is, more is definitely not better. There is a very good reason why the manufacturer listed the dosage they did. Increasing that dosage with the belief that it will increase the effects of the supplement is the main reason people get sick or injured from using them.
If at any time you develop any side effects from the supplements you are taking, stop taking them immediately! The weight loss, strength, or general fitness boost you are trying to get from them is not worth compromising your health for. You may even want to consult with your doctor in case treatment is needed to ensure against further incident from the effects you may be having.
Many people take many different supplements every day for various reasons and some people do report positive results from them. There are supplements out there that are beneficial to take to help you with your weight loss and fitness goals, but just remember that there are a lot of bad ones too. If you are considering taking any supplements, follow these guidelines and more important, follow good common sense.

How To Keep Your Kids Safe From Online Trouble
It seems the more advanced the online technology, the more trickery
there is online. It may be hard to believe, but there are people who
spend their time dreaming up ways to hack into strangers' computers to
swipe their identities and simply wreak havoc with their files. What is
even more upsetting, is that a lot of times these troublemakers target
youngsters and it is not their accounts they are looking to corrupt, but
the kids themselves.
What do online predators actually do?
Basically, online predators scope out internet chat rooms, message boards, emails, and instant messaging to find vulnerable children. When they find a likely target, they will contact them and do whatever it takes to capture their attention and earn their trust. For example, they will find out the child's hobbies, the kind of music they like, and they express an interest in the kid's problems at home and at school. Then as soon as they have established a relatively strong bond, they will change the nature of the conversation. The safe and mundane topics of conversation will eventually become more intimate and sexual in nature.
As a parent, how can you protect your children when they are online?
The easiest piece of advice we can give is to monitor your children's computer use whenever possible. We know that it is not possible to keep an eye on your child 24/7, so here are some additional tips:
-Tell your kids in advance about the danger of online predators. Keep an on going dialogue and encourage your entire family to ask questions about online safety.
-Keep the computer in a common area rather than in your kid's private room.
-When your child is online, take a seat next to them and watch what they are doing. If any website or email looks suspicious, divert their attention or delete the message together.
-Tell your kids not to respond to any emails or instant messages that are from strangers.
-Until your children are old enough to truly comprehend the dangers that exist online, do not let them participate in chat rooms or discussion forums.
-Likewise, until the kids are old enough, have them use a family email that you can easily monitor.
In addition to these tips, there are online tools that will help you keep your kids safe online. To find these tools check out your Internet Service Provider (also called an ISP), which often offers security devices for free. Next, try your local computer store and ask about the types of software they have that will block and filter unwanted messages and websites. And also check out your web browser, which may have parental controls that you can manually switch on and off.
Unfortunately, even if you have done everything imaginable to protect your children from online trouble, sometimes a predator will slip through the cracks. If this happens, do not blame yourself or your kid. Take a deep breath and approach the problem with a level and logical head.
Some warnings signs to watch for include:
-Your child may spend a crazy amount of time online.
-You are suddenly fielding phone calls from strangers who are asking to speak with your child, or your child is suddenly receiving packages in the mail from strangers.
-Pornography pops up on the family computer.
-You notice that your child is withdrawing from his or her usual activities.
-You find out that your kid is using someone else's online account.
Finally, there are a lot of helpful services on the internet if your kids do wind up having trouble online. The best advice is to deal with the problem directly and as soon as you can.

The Secret To Staying Slim
The secret to staying slim could be as simple as slipping some tomatoes into your sandwich. It is thought the fruit is rich in compounds that alter levels of appetite hormones and leave us feeling satisfied.
Snacking between meals is a common pitfall of dieters, and the humble tomato could provide them with a cheap and easy way to keep hunger at bay.
Reading University researchers investigated the benefits of enriching white bread with fruit and vegetables. A small group of women of normal weight, aged between 18 and 35, were offered cream cheese sandwiches made with white bread or bread enriched with carrots and tomatoes.
The researchers expected the extra fibre to make the carrot-bread lunches the most filling. Instead, the tomato bread was the most satisfying, a nutritional conference in France heard.
Researcher Dr Julie Lovegrove said: "They were given the sandwiches in a random order and we recorded how full they said they were. It was a small study, and we can't yet say what the crucial tomato ingredient is, but the results were statistically significant."
The appetite-suppressing ingredient could be lycopene, which gives tomatoes their red colour and has already been credited with warding off cancer and boosting fertility. Studies also show that tomatoes can help heart health.
Regular servings of tomato sauce and juice lower cholesterol levels in a matter of weeks. If that wasn't enough, tomato based dishes may protect against sunburn and keep skin looking healthy into old age.
Tomatoes are also rich in vitamin C, which helps the body heal wounds and absorb iron.

Here is the latest news. The Apple iPhone 5
is expected to cost about Rs. 45,500. There are two official distributors
of the Apple gadgetsin India, namely Ingram Micro and Redington India.
It is Redington India that has come up with the prices of
the Apple gadget. According to the distributing company, the basic version –
the 16GB version will cost Rs. 45,500. If you wish to go for higher
capacity phones, the prices are Rs. 52,500 for the 32GB version
and Rs. 59,500 for the 64GB version.
Both versions
of the phone – the black and the white are likely to be up for sale this coming
Friday. Saholic and Infibeam – the online retailers have begun to accept the preorders for
the phones. To book your phone now, you will have to pay Rs. 5000 for the basic
version.
iPhone 5 will roll out worldwide to 22 more countries on September 28, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
iPhone 5 will be available from the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com), Apple's retail stores, and through AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
iPhone 5 comes in either white and silver or black and slate, and will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199 (US) for the 16GB model and $299 (US) for the 32GB model and $399 (US) for the 64GB model.
Specifications
Even though it's taller than the iPhone 4S, it's lighter. The bigger screen - 4 inches measured diagonally - creates room for another row of icons on the screen and lets widescreen movies fit better. Previous iPhone models carried 3.5-inch screens.
Even video and photos look more lush on the iPhone 5's bigger and better screen. The device is also speedier because of a more powerful processing chip and upgraded wireless technology that accelerates Web surfing.
Apple also has equipped the iPhone 5 with a superior sound system, courtesy of the new headphones that the company says it spent three years developing. The headphones, called "EarPods," are a vast improvement on the ear buds that Apple has been giving away with its devices for more than a decade. The new headphones actually stay in your ears and make it seem as if the sound is playing inside your head. The EarPods come free with the iPhone 5, and they sounded as good as $100 headphones sold by a variety of other companies.
The new iOS also offers a feature called "Passbook," where digital coupons, airline tickets and gift cards can be conveniently stored in one location. This, too, is going to be popular.
Delivery times rise on strong demand
Delivery times climbed quickly as Apple Inc started taking orders for the iPhone 5 on Friday, suggesting strong demand.
Apple began taking orders for the phone at 12 am Pacific time. It initially promised delivery by next Friday, when the new phone also goes on sale in stores. Four hours later, the expected delivery time had grown to two weeks, according to Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White.
By the afternoon, only Sprint was still promising delivery by next Friday. Verizon Wireless said delivery would take two weeks, and AT&T said it would take "14 to 21 business days."
Apple's stock rose $8.02, or 1.2 percent, to $691 in afternoon trading, after hitting an all-time high of $696.98 earlier in the day
Did you Know - Tomatoes--No Refrigeration Required
Did you know that one of the most popular vegetables in the United
States is actually a fruit? Categorized by botanists as a fruit but
eaten by consumers as a vegetable, tomatoes are appreciated for their
combination of sweetness and acidity.
Any way you slice it, tomatoes are a delicious way to add nutrients to the diet. They are rich in vitamins A and C and are a good source of potassium. Tomatoes are also naturally low in sodium and contain no cholesterol.
Many people store tomatoes alongside other vegetables in their refrigerator's crisper drawer, but that's not the best place for them. Tomatoes should be stored at room temperature to maintain maximum flavor. Cool temperatures inside your refrigerator will stop the ripening process and begin to decrease the flavor and change the texture. Try storing your tomatoes in a decorative bowl on the counter.
Tomatoes and bananas help each other ripen quicker. Tomatoes and bananas emit a naturally occurring ripening gas called ethylene and when you store the two together they both ripen rapidly. If you need to ripen a tomato quickly, store it in a closed paper bag on the counter. The ethylene gas speeds up the ripening process when confined around the fruit in a closed bag.
Although tomatoes are native to Central and South America, they are now eaten throughout the world and are an ingredient in countless recipes. Many people consider tomatoes an essential part of their vegetable gardens each summer and they are available at your local market year-round.
